10 Sisters Heritage House
10 Sisters Heritage House – our new log house to be completed in autumn 2025 – is a unique farm tourism destination that offers visitors the opportunity to experience the original Lapland way of life indoors.
The Heritage House is the place where we serve authentic Lapland meals to groups and host the activities included in our farm visit packages. It is decorated in the Southern Lapland style: a traditional bread oven, a large hut table, old looms, and a spinning wheel create the atmosphere of old-time Lapland in every season. The walls are adorned with the handmade creations of our ten daughters.
The log hut was originally a residential building built in the early 20th century on Lake Simojärvi in Ranua. The log frame, assembled from old recycled logs, has been re-erected in its new environment, respecting traditions and sustainable values, to create the feel of a traditional courtyard. In addition to the Heritage House, the horse stable is also built from old logs, and there are several other log buildings in the yard.
There is also a genuine Lapland Kota hut in the yard, where guests can warm up by the campfire during the winter cold. Here, we serve groups Nokipannu black pot coffee, brewed over an open fire, along with home-baked Kampanisu sweet bread.
The 10 Sisters Family Farm is located on land owned by the Kaikkonen family. Continuing the family’s traditions into the fourth generation is a very important foundation for our entrepreneurial family in both farm tourism and horse service activities.
